"Heaven & Earth" performed by Northwick Baroque

(baroque music for soprano, bass, recorders & continuo))

The programme, "Heaven and Earth", features music mainly from the seventeenth century by composers such as Schutz, Cima, Handel and Purcell.​

18th February

Ben Baldwin & Samantha Atkinson 

(saxophone duo)

Ben and Samantha  met in 2023 at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and have since performed together in various groups. As a duo they perform an eclectic mix of contemporary, classical and jazz music. showcasing their versatility and passion for the saxophone.  

Their recital will feature works by old and new composers; from Singelee's famous saxophone duo to new works by Adam Silverman and Barry Cockcroft

18th March

"Echoes of Summer" performed by Steve Bridgwater & Emma Winscom

(guitar / dulcimer / mandolin & voice & keys)

Steve and Emma will be presenting a selection for guitar, dulcimer, mandolin, voice and keys from their recent Latin programme, which has included pieces by Jobim, Porter, Granados, de Falla, Dylan, McVie, King, Youmans, Bridgwater and Winscom."

15th April

Bridge St. Brass

 

Bridge St. Brass are a brass quintet formed in 2023 by students at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. They aim to champion female players and composers within the brass world, and since their formation have enjoyed performing a diverse array of repertoire, from classical brass quintet works by Arutunian and Lafosse, to arrangements of film music and forays into jazz.
